Winner in the category Suppliers for the Horti Fair innovation award is the Vitro-Plug.
The main feature of this new tissue culture product is that the rooted plant can go to the grower directly from the laboratory.
Vitro Plus has developed this product in close cooperation with Jiffy Products and Visser ITE.

: Grading of the Vitro Plug

Vitro Plug is a propagating method for several different crops. Benefits of this system are shorter growing period and reduced loss of crops.

The system exists of trays with sterile coco peat Jiffy plugs in which the crops, in a closed environment en sterile conditions, are grown.

: Transplanting of the Vitro Plug

For the system Visser has automated several phases of the process. Such as a complete line for the first phase of the process, the denesting of the trays and applying the base materials.

Beside this there are several transplanters and camera grading machines available, that are specially designed and/or modified for the Vitro Plug System.
