Over-head sowing machine OHS-II

The OHS- Sowing Machine is a high capacity machine for seeding almost any kind of seed. The machine seeds one tray at the time.

Functioning of the machine:

The seed hopper filled with the seed will strike along the seeding plate. This seeding plate has the same amount of nozzles as the amount of cells of the destination tray. While striking along the seeding plate the seeds will be sucked to the seeding plate by means of the vacuum. from the top of the seeding plate the hopper goes down while vibrating and a comb will strike along the seeding plate.

This comb has 4 rows of teeth, 2 at left and 2 at the right of each nozzle. In case of a double seed on a nozzle, one of the seeds will be wiped off the seeding plate and will fall back into the seed hopper.

By adjusting the vacuum, the speed of the hopper striking along the seeding plate, the vibrating of the seed hopper, the nozzle size and the type of the comb a perfect result can be achieved. When the seeding plate is filled with the seeds, the head with the seeding plate will move from the vertical position to a horizontal position on top of the tube divider. In the horizontal position the vacuum will be released and the seeds drop into the tubes of the tube divider.

After releasing the vacuum the nozzles will be blown through so the nozzles will be cleaned. At the bottom of the tube diver the seeds fall on the plate of the after sowing device. When the tray is positioned under the tube divider, the after sowing device will open and the seeds will drop for a short distance into the cells of the destination tray.

The machine comes standard with a vacuum pump and 1 complete set of attributes for seeding one type of tray, one size of seeding plate, and one size of comb. and a maximum of 240 exits.

The machine has a built in conveyor belt which feed in the trays, position the trays under the tube divider in combination with a positioning set.

An optional dibbler unit can be built on this conveyor belt.

Several adjustments for the machine are standard available on this machine.

By hand adjusting the pneumatic valves, these adjustments are:

Amount of vacuum
Speed of the seed hopper along the seeding plate
Intensity of vibrating of the seed hopper

The machine is equipped with a touch-screen display on which several setting can be done as:

Tray counter for adjusting the total amount of trays, which have to be sown.
Amount of seeds per destination tray.
Time settings for the seeding plate.
Time setting for the positioning of the tray.
Settings for the optional dibbler plate unit.

Technical specifications:

Dimensions : L x W x H = 3.500 x 1.850 x 2.200 mm.
Motor rating : 2,5 kW, depending on parameters such as other machines, configuration etc.
Capacity : Max. 700 trays per hour. A definite capacity can be given when all the parameters are known. Such as: the type of seed.

Plug sizes : Plug sizes from 10 mm up to 30 mm in diameter. Even bigger plants can be picked up when the plant allows the needles to be at a circle of 30 mm.

Seeds : Both pelleted seeds as nude seeds, nozzles sizes for 0,1 – 0,8 mm.
Amount of cells : Max. 800 cells.
