Drum seeder Speed-Rouline Tex

The Speed Rouline Tex is a drum seeder on a conveyor belt which can be programmed with a digitally programmable TEX display.

The drum seeder is used for a higher capacity as the Granette nozzle seeder. The hart of the machine is the rotating drum in which a vacuum is created. On the outside surface of the drum different rows of nozzles are placed.

A high capacity can be achieved by synchronising the speed of the sowing drum and the speed of the conveyor belt.

The seeds are picked up from the seed hopper by means of a vacuum. The vacuum can be adjusted by means of a air tap on the control panel, the amount of vacuum can be red from the gauge. The seed hopper is mounted with the opening side along the surface of the drum. By changing the slope of the seed hopper the “efficient” surface for picking up the seeds can be changed. By enlarging the surface the result of picking up the seed can be increased. hopper can also increase the result.

After picking up the seed of the seed hopper the drum will rotate in opposite direction of the conveyor belt. On top of the drum the seeds will pass a blow off bar. For each nozzle in the length direction of the drum there are two blow off nozzles which will blow off eventually double seeds from the seeding nozzles. The air pressure of the blow off nozzles can be adjusted with an air tap on the control panel, the amount of vacuum can be red from the gauge.

On the lowest point of the sowing drum the vacuum is released and the seeds drops in the cell. After seeding the nozzles are cleaned by blowing air through the nozzles. The air pressure for cleaning the nozzles can be adjusted by means of an air tap on the control panel, the amount of the pressure can be red from the gauge.

The drum normally has 12 channels in which the nozzles are placed. This 12 channels can be used in two different ways.

1. - 12 channels with all the same nozzle size and c.t.c.-distance of the nozzles to get the highest possible capacity. In this case for every other nozzle size of other tray size a new sowing drum is obligatory. 2. - It is also possible to use only 6 channels of the drum for seeding onto the tray, in this case the other 6 channels can be used for nozzles with another nozzle size for another type of seed or have nozzles with an other c.t.c.-distance to use the

same drum for another type of tray. By using the two-way drum only the end cap of the drum has to be changed to change the tray type or seed type. Using only 6 channels will decrease the capacity of the seeder.

On the display all settings for the seeding as speed, number of trays per batch, kind of tray, can be adjusted,

The settings for the amount of the vacuum of the sowing drum, the blow-off bar and cleaning the nozzles can be done on a control panel with air taps with corresponding gauges.

In the display all settings for different kind of trays can be done. The main setting for a tray as the layout of the tray (rows, columns, intermediate steps in the tray), the kind of drum used for the tray can be stored in the memory. It is also possible for the operator to teach in a new kind of tray.

Beside the drum seeder different kind of equipment can be built onto the conveyor belt.

  • Driven dibbling drum with driven cleaning brush for cleaner results.
  • Granette 2000 nozzle seeder
  • Granudine volume seeder for very fine seeds.

When one of more of above equipment is available it can be switched on/off in the display.

The drum can be changed, and the following adjusted:

  • the height of the entire seeding unit
  • the seed container
  • the blow-off beam
  • the vacuum setting
  • the channel blow-clean setting.
  • Changing the Seeder Drum
